How is EXITO funded?

EXITO works closely with TEC (Tertiary Education Commission) who is the government funding agent for ITO's. EXITO has a contract with TEC and as such EXITO is required to achieve certain measurements as part of that contract.

Education and Training Funding Approval Policy - There are two types of funding available to Exito trainees for any training and/ or assessment undertaken in competency based unit standards registered on the NQF.

Situation 1 - Where a Registered Assessor (RA) carries out an assessment/s of a trainee’s current competence, the RA may raise a contract directly with EXITO to carry out such work provided the RA has the appropriate assessment scope within EXITO’s stable of unit standards.

Situation 2 - Where a Registered Assessor/Trainer carries out training and assessment (either within or outside of EXITO’s accreditation scope), this work must be carried out under the umbrella of an Accredited Provider e.g. a Polytechnic or a Private Training Establishment.

Subsidy Amount - Training subsidies are available to those signed on as an EXITO trainee. The training subsidy per trainee for the year is $1000 (GST inclusive) and it is expected that the trainee achieve 20 credits in that year.
